Personal Loan with a Low CIBIL Score

A score below 700 does not make borrowing impossible, but it changes which lenders will look at you and what it will cost.

Check your eligibility

What to expect

  • NBFCs and fintech lenders approve scores in the 600 to 700 band, at 18% to 26%
  • A secured option — gold loan or loan against property — ignores the score almost entirely and costs far less
  • Adding a co-applicant with a strong score materially improves the odds
  • Applying repeatedly after rejections makes the score worse; fix the score first where you can

Documents you will need

  • PAN and Aadhaar
  • Income proof
  • Last 6 months bank statements
  • Existing loan statements, if any

Work out the numbers first

Before you apply anywhere, check what your income supports with the eligibility calculator, and what it will cost with the EMI calculator. Applying blind and being declined leaves a mark on your credit file that the next lender can see.
